What's a good place to install...

Hey guys. What's a good place to install the LED indicator that comes with an alarm. I have a 2nd gen Pro, and I'm going to install the alarm (Alpine SEC-100S) this weekend. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would typically recommend a central location that can easily be seen from anywhere around the vehicle, or near the radio considering thats where most people look at when they peek into your car.

A guy at my apartment complex put it on his rearview mirror (the backside) and it was pretty noticeable. It was red and went back and forth... Kind of a good place if you're standing in front obviously...

Mine is blue and is a single LED. I figured that the best place would be close to my hazards switch (either below or above it), but I couldn't figure out how to put it there. It seems to me that I would have to remove the whole dashboard to put the LED there. Is there an easier way?

I also need to attach my shock sensor to the firewall, and not inside the engine bay. The firewall inside the car is plastic (or covered with plastic). Is it safe to cut through it to expose the metal underneath? Or is there something esle I should do instead?

I always mount mine on the lower forward edge of the a-pillar trim panel.
