White Protege 5 with window tint?

Anyone have nice, close shots of their white P5 with window tint? My wifes is going in soon and I can't decide what "percent" to get. sounds like 35% since 50% is legal. It's just dark enough to not get noticed, I hope.

Anyway, anyone have shots of a white P5 with tint?

Thanks,
Curt B. Shumaker

don't got a pic but to be on the safe side, 35% shuold look good and since the car is white it'll look darker.

didn't realise you can't do attachments.. but here are links to my 2002 protege5 with some very dark tinting - honestly not sure how dark it is but its difficult for people to see through from the outside and often people will open the back door to get in and not realise someone is already sitting there.

I have 43% on my car.

It looks nice and is the limit I can go up here in mass.

This pic shows my tint okay. It was not a good day when I took this pic but you can see the tint.

I believe they count four windows on each side. I was charged for tinting 9 windows. I went to ziebart to get my windows tinted. The guy at my ziebart does a great job. I paid $259 USD. I have seen people getting it done for less but when you know the quality is good, i don't mind paying a little more. Plus they offer a lifetime warranty from everything except scratches caused by user or friends. Check out a ziebart near you.

I'd definetly recommend tinting your sunroof.. and getting a brow done on the windshield if its legal in your area.. I wouldn't have mine any other way!

Hey Bizsnatch, where'd you get your tinting done? I've seen your car around before. Once was in this little back alley right across the street from Tramps on Memorial, you almost backed into me!

when i bought the car it was the first white p5 in town - and kramer had taken the car for tinting and all the extras so it could be used as a demo.

i'm not sure where they had it done but it is definately the best tint jobs i've ever had - there isn't even polarized lines/squares when you look at it from different angles wearing polarized sunglasses

as for almost backing into you at tramps - heh oops! i'm always all over the city but that time and i know where you're talking about... but in all honesty i can't ever remember being in that alley

flag me down next time and say hey!

I had mine done by European Auto Tint in Edmonton. They are the best i have ever seen. I told them I was with the Protoge Club and I paid 200CAN flat (no tax) and they took out 2 rock chips for free!!.. They did all back 7 windows, limo tint (5%)

Window/Sunroof Tinting

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting it done soon. Any suggestions/recommendations for a decent shop and price in the Vancouver/Richmond area in BC, Canada? Thanks.

Cool

Oh wait...I found one It's mine after the tint was applied.

It's 35% tint all around. The one question I have is with the small bubbles. There are some small bubbles on the edges of the window. When I say small, I mean they are less than the size of a pin head. However, there are probably 30 or so in one area on the window. It's not noticable unless you are within 3" of the car.

Will this go away after a few days in the sun? If not, should I take it back?

Thanks,
Curt B. Shumaker

I'd take it back... you didn't put the windows down after the install did you? I think you're supposed to leave the windows alone for half a week or so after the installation.

everytime ive had windows tinted there have been small bubbles and a weird misting that happens between the film and glass. it has always gone away in a couple weeks - just depends how long it takes for it all to dry up. if you take it back now i guarentee they will tell you its normal and that it should go away! you have to give it some time
