Right in the middle of asking him a question he just leaves and helps/talks to another customer.... so im like WTF, to make it worse he BS'd that chic too. He told her to run the most expensive alpine amp they had on display to power 1 10" Type S alpine sub.. omg.. talk about trying to rip her off, man i feel sorry for her because she actually fell for it, she didn't really know that much about car audio. LOL she admited that she didn't know how to install it so the guy said the shop could do it and quoted her like 300 dollars to install an amp and a sub!!!!!!
The little bastard also implied i was too stupid to install my stereo and alarm when i asked him for an estimate of how much it would cost to do the whole thing, i only asked him becuase i wanted to know how much i saved doing it myself (my system/alarm was already installed and working perfectly).

LOL he also said that if i add a Capacitor to my system it will make it so the sub amp will have its own powersource giving you better sound quality LOL!!!!!!!! sounds like he was implying that when i add a cap i make power from nothing!! i told him that if i have a weak alternator it won't help my stereo if i add a cap since the alternator has to charge both the battery and the cap. the cap only comes into play when their are large bass notes and the battery can't discharge fast nuff to supply the amp so the cap fills the gap since it can discharge faster. He then says im wrong and the cap makes its own power or some BS and it doesn't matter what kind of alternator i have as long as i have lots of caps, and "this is proven through ohms law" so i was like.. oh **** it and i leave. i don't think im ever going back to that retard again

1st mp3, i've never been to new hampshire. it'd be a hell of a drive from FL to there just for a system maybe you have some info on which brands have better caps. i know PG and RF and lightning have higher standards, but do you have any info on what other brands are high quality also? and any info on solid state caps or bat caps? i'm looking into a solid state cap right now, but i heard they don't do much. damn i wish i had an SPL meter at home then i could test to see if all this crap really makes a difference. but getting a bigger amp and a HU that puts out 3 more volts definitely made my sub hit harder i honestly think i'm almost to 150 db. not bad for an SQ setup. i'm waiting on a guy to e-mail me the information for designing an 8th order band pass box. if i can do it right, i should hit over 155 db with about 1000 watts. i'd like to break 160, just to show up my friend with 4 stroker 18's hitting 163.8 db

I didn't think you actualy came up here seeing is how we don't carry Blua and all
I'm not realy sure by what you mean by a solid state cap, If your refering to the alumipro caps then my only info is Xtant reccomended against it saying a second battery close to the amp produced higher in car results for them then a 15 farad Alumipro.
They mentioned the electrical properties of a good deep cycle battery is better then the caps.
Speaking of stroker their was a compeditor at the New England SLAP finals with a 15" stroker in an SQ car. He actualy did very well according to the judge aka my buddy Mike. Their was also a P5 from Rhode Island with 3 MA audio 12"s and a nice install. Didn't listen to it though.

BB
I had a rep from BB try to tell me the same information. One he probably didn't understand the ohm's law...lol E=I*R...etc
He probably thought it was a law set by the state.....lol
It is funny how many reps don't know **** about anything. One guy told me that the California Bajas would wind up being the best in a bandpass box..lol BANDPASS?!?! I made my own sealed enclosure and it kicked the **** out of one of their bandpass setups..lol Not to mention he tried to tell me an Type E alpine sub would be the best sub I could ever buy. That was bullshit.
