WTF am I going to do about this scratch??

Damnit what a kick in the nuts this is. I havent even had my car for three weeks and like 30 mins ago im going to get it washed and some person going the opposite way 2 lanes over sends a rock or something flying into my door and scratches the paint right off it. Is there any way to fix a 3/4" long scratch thats fairly thin without having to paint the door so that it will look pretty good??? **** me I couldn't have worse luck.

if its not too deep, just try using some rubbing compound and a good buffer (or elbow grease). It will completely remove the scratch if its not too deep.

It is deep, theres no more blue paint left where the scratch it and i'm pretty sure I see metal.

i would try the rubbing compound first and see if it can blend it before you try to use the touch up paint. Touch up paint is harder to blend in especially if you have any sun fading.

i once owned a sunflower gt and had a huge scrape along the whole side of the car by some careless driver in a parking lot, the rubbing compound did wonders.

Hey,

McGuires had an excellent rubbing compund and a second goop with a clear coat finish. That should work if the skratch is not too wide. Buff the **** out it, use the finish and wax it . See if it is still there....
