Additional Injector Controller

Additional Injector Controller
Ok everyone I have decided what controller to go with for my upgrade to the turbo kit. It is located at www.sdsefi.com the cost for the controller and two injectors is 500 bucks with shipping included in that price. There is a 2 injector model that is good for 160 extra HP and a 4 injector model that is good for 320 extra HP but I don't forsee our stock internals going over the 160 HP need. Just a heads up.

Wild! I was researching the same topic and came up with the same thing. I just left that site a few seconds ago and was going to post and see if anyone had any knowlege of it.
It's a nice unit for the price.
Are you using it for your basic setup?

OK Everyone I just got off the phone with Knight Turbos. He has around 200 of his 2.0L kits on cars worldwide and he has told me that everyone that has called him telling him that they ran 10PSI of boost on our F engines they all failed with no exceptions within a year. He told me thatonly running 5-7 PSI the engine will be as reliable as I bought it though. Amazing what 3 little PSI can do huh. SO in light of this new info...I may not offer the Additional Injector controller. Yes you would have more fuel tuning but not much more than with the FMU.

Do you think the failures are from the extra power? Or irresponsible timing and air/fuel ratio control? 10 psi on a well designed system would probably put out 215-220hp on our cars. I can't believe these motors wont take that. Any word on the nature of the failures?

Cracked Pistons...not dimpled from lean situation or detonation just straight through cracked...so if you want to run higher boost and be reliable forged rods and pistons are the answer. With the additional injector control and forged internals you would be good for 18 PSI and 365 WHP from TKT's dyno results with his forged parts and turbo kit.

I have talked to bryan and he has told me ho woudl highly advise not trying the 10-12 PSI mark without a stand-alone ECU. I have talked to Bryan alot as I have been in contact with him on the cam gears he is making and I supplied him with a stock cam gear from the Protege.
