Any turbo kits for about 3000? CANADIAN?
I have a 2002 Protege ES.
I'm wondering if any company makes a turbo kit for my car for less than $3000. Also, will the turbo work with my automatic transmission, and will I have to modify the car in any way before putting in the turbo? I only have about $3000 to work with. If I can't do this, or an FS-ZE swap, then I think I'm gonna trade in my car for a Nissan Sentra SE-R.

How reliable is a turbo kit like this? I know mark says he has 15 000km on his turbo right now. But 15 000 is not that much. Its only been 9 months for me and this car, and I already have 18 000km on it. After installing a turbo can I expect the engine to run for another 10 or so years? I wouldn't be going full throttle all the time, just maybe a bit on the weekends. What do you guys think? If I properly maintain the engine with the turbo (chaging oil etc.) Can I expect the engine to last for a while? (10 or more years).

Also, you guys know that sound in a turbocharged car, right before you shift gears. There's a short wistle of air, or sumthing. It sounds like a blowoff valve or sumthing. Is there any way you can rig something like that in a non-turbo car just for the sound? I love that sound.
