Electric Superchargers?

Electric Superchargers?
So I have heard all about people using bilge pumps off of boats on an intake to attempt to create a small amount of boost, and the verdict seems to be that these are pretty much worthless. I recently came across the "E-Ram Electric Supercharger", and was wandering if anyone had any opinion on these. According to the website, these are supposed to create aprox. 1 lb of boost to any stock motor. The website has dynos from different vehicles showing anywhere from about a 2-10 whp gain, but the charts seem to be really inconsistent from one vehicle to another. This could be (and probably is) just an expensive gimmick, but I am a little curious to see what others think. Heres a link to the manufacturer's website:

I have also been kind of following up on these from time to time, and they look reeally cool. It may not be too practical for most people wanting FI, but definately a cool concept.

that looks more harmful than helpful.
p.s. That would be something that I would say just ventilates the intake a little more, i dont see how it could possibly produce anypower..
