Electric Superchargers?

So I have heard all about people using bilge pumps off of boats on an intake to attempt to create a small amount of boost, and the verdict seems to be that these are pretty much worthless. I recently came across the "E-Ram Electric Supercharger", and was wandering if anyone had any opinion on these. According to the website, these are supposed to create aprox. 1 lb of boost to any stock motor. The website has dynos from different vehicles showing anywhere from about a 2-10 whp gain, but the charts seem to be really inconsistent from one vehicle to another. This could be (and probably is) just an expensive gimmick, but I am a little curious to see what others think. Heres a link to the manufacturer's website:

I have also been kind of following up on these from time to time, and they look reeally cool. It may not be too practical for most people wanting FI, but definately a cool concept.

that looks more harmful than helpful.

p.s. That would be something that I would say just ventilates the intake a little more, i dont see how it could possibly produce anypower..

It's all in their head...and their marketing :P
I think that a electric mixer motor with a fan on the end would do about as much good. Hm...I think I've got an idea for a business =)

Then I think it might be time to unveil my newest invention to the World..... Pulley spinners. Alternator and water pump pulley spinners will be available soon, with crank pulley spinners coming next. Prototypes show 20-45 WHP gain, and when starred at will induce seizures after only 2 minutes.

Seriously though, the REAL electric superchargers look sweet. Here's a link to the main site:

Put one of these on a Go-cart once- On a 4 cyl car 1psi might be right- on a 12hp Honda Motor it was like 50, and ended up blowing it- Was fun as hell while it ran.
