Engine Management
Hopefully I am going to be doing the BP-26 swap into my escort soon. I am going to use the GTX ECU and harness because I do not want to run a ton of boost, just get me from point A to B. If I am using the ECU, do i need an Air/Fuel controller and a boost retard unit? I would think no because it is the stock harness and ECU but I am just making sure. Also do I need to get a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and a higher rate fuel pump? All of these items are on blt engine sawp guide as nessesary, but i just wanna make sure. It is all going in my 91' Escort GT. Thanks guys.

Providing that you are using the BPT motor with the BP26 ECU:
You do not need a FMU, the onboard pressure regulator is "turbo aware"
You do need the knock control unit from the firewall of the BG GTX. This may not be part of your harness - double check.
You do not need the Air/Fuel controller or timing retard device.
The GTX ECU takes care of Air / Fuel to about 15psi, the knock control unit controls is needed for timing retard.
You do need a uprated fuel pump. Walbro or RX-7 Turbo.
Good Luck

I do not know for sure about the Air Flow meter, I imagine, you can modify the values of the stock meter to suit. As it is, the stock VAF is much smaller than the RX-7 Turbo meter. Just based on restriction, I would advise going to the RX-7 Turbo VAF. Other than that I didn't have to muck with the values to get it running properly. Well worth the extra $$
