Garret Turbo

Will the garret that is on the Mazdaspeed fit a 03' P5? Where can I find one?

the mazdaspeed utilizes a t25 turbo (it might be a t28, but I don't think so) and I think that this is not a worthwhile mod...you would be see better numbers using a turbo like the t3...or a mitsui 16g like me...

The MSP runs a T-25. And it is very small. You'd be better with a T-3 or 16g like falkofire said.

Yes, it will fit your Protege 5, but there are better turbos out there for your car.

The 2.0 liter motor seems to like the T-3 run on it, like the Flyin' Protege turbo kit.

Will the TD05H-16G fit in the 1st gen body with a BPT powerplant like my car? How about the space constraints? How about turbo lag? At what rpm does the turbo spool? 4.5k rpm?

The actual owner of that turbo says it spools up at 2500 RPM.

I'm getting the turbo from the SR20DET engine. A friend strongly recommended it due to its reliability and longevity to high boost.

Flyin' Miata took over for BEGI on the kit that is sold for the 2.0-liter Protege. They originally called the Protege arm of the company "FM Protege."

However, Flyin' Miata Protege doesn't make much sense, so the name was shortened to "Flyin' Protege."

However, most people are still refering to the company as FM Protege. I'm working on getting the new correct name out there. Which is Flyin' Protege...

It does seem teh 2.0 likes a medium frame turbo better as opposed to a small frame like the T25. I will be using a K26 with a Blitz compressor wheel that will basically have the spool up times of a small T25 but the power capabilitys of a large T3.Garret and Mitsu aren't the only turbo manufacturers out there guys....KKK turbos is a very well known name in teh European market but hasn't pushed much into the Asian market much that is overwhelmed it seems with Garrett and IHI. Don't get me wrong they are good turbos(garrett/mitsu) I'm just sayin there are other options available its all what you are looking for. I figure if the KKK is good enough for the likes of Blitz/Audi/Porsche its good enough for me.
