how much power can the auto tranny take under boost?

I dont think that torque converter would be able to handle more than 8-9 lbs without an upgrade...also the way an auto shifts early the lag would really hurt you...just think as soon as you start to spool it, whoosh!shift...would end up only helpful in 4th gear, unless you manually shift it...(not a good idea,IMO to do this on a auto, especially with more torque than stock)

Even with overdrive on, if you give full throttle it shifts around 6500. If you give slightly less than full then it shifts a little sooner.
Since I'll assume we are talking about serious acceleration, not light to light traffic, I don't see the problem with shift points.
