Question How to silent external wastegate on turbo cars?

Hello Turbo Fellows / Gurus,

Please advise if there is any way to silent the roaring/blarring external wastegate of a turbocharged engine? By channelling it into the downpipe and out the muffler?

If you want, yes.
Any other way besides channelling into the downpipe? How have others done it? Any innovative ways to share? Thx.

After a month, the sounds are of a nuisance and irritating. Same goes for my blow-off valve. I'm gonna get a hose to channel the BOV back into the compressor turbine. At the moment, my straight thru muffler is, I think, above 100db when WOT. Really annoying during long distance trips!
Any solution Protege Menace for the wastegate sound?

Seems logical to plumb back to downpipe.
maybe shift less or let off the gas as often to quiet down that BOV.)
I'll channel the BOV back into the compressor turbine.

Ive heard people just basically setting up a 2nd exhaust for the wastegate, complete with muffler and all.
Yeah I had that on my car for a while but opted for routing it back into the downpipe. If you guys are routing it back in to the downpipe make sure that when the wastepipe welds up that it enters the exhaust stream smoothly (weld it parallel with the downpipe) this will prevent any boost spiking

most route it back behind the turbo into the main exhaust, but thats a restriction, and u shouldnt route it back any closer than 18" behind the turbo......

another way to do it is just run a separate mini-exhaust with its own muffler, thats the least restrictive aside from venting to the atmosphere
