He told me hes slapping a 550 plus hp turbo plus nos on his car... Thats gonna be a hell of a ride and in the future i will look into more than my GTR turbo when i learn more about turbos. Im sure u will see me there next spring/summer i just need a few more pieces of this turbo puzzle to go( standalone, intercooler and fuel upgrades) Jon 93 lx

He's putting that turbo in there, and he might throw a shot for spoolup. But remember, just because a turbo is CAPABLE
of 550hp it doen't mean that you'll get it, there's other things involved besides just turning the boost to full boost, It also depends on your engine size and volumetric efficiency of the head for starters.

One might need upgraded fuel pump and probably 800cc injectors for this kind of turbo. Not to mention the xtreme late lag....I figure around 4.5k rpm?

P/S The clutch might slip and axles will give.......

Its not that big turbo im puting on mine car but should be the right combination for a top end and spool up. i know i will never get that hp but i want to run 15 psi and use pump gas and make a lot of hp.Spool up i go a cure for that, NOS direct port wet system and i got upgraded pump alredy . i will run it for now on gtx ecu and some upgraded injectors.Clutch is upgraded and im not going crazy on take off.

Dragging will kill axles, trannys, clutches, u name it. 15psi is just 1 bar. Maybe u could boost control it up to 22psi.

No need for 22 psi

Anymore pix for ur ride? Only pix for the intercooler? How did u manage to configure the S-AFC for the GTX J-spec engine? I used to have it, but tuning configurations wasn't in the manuals so I sold it away. Planning to get the 1st gen Apexi AFC.

Yes they have it for installation. But the tuning for each rpm plus or minus on the low/high throttle position isn't provided. That's the thing! Plus the screen gets too hot. Could burn out the LEDs. Better to use 1st gen.

U got to tune by driving and gauges like a/f .

I know, but the effect is not as good as the 1st gen, plus it's dangerous if you're alone and doin' by yourself. With 1st gen, one can turn the dials (5 dials at preset rpm) and feel the effects while driving. Safety first!

That's what i've been saying all along, 15psi of this turbo will give you more than 400hp, no need to get small turbos, run them at high boost and they just throw hot air and do nothing.

spooling a turbo has to do with the turbine size and exhaust housing A/R, not the compressor, choose the right exhaust A/R and wheel and you'll spool up quick too. That's why people say "dont send a boy to do a man's job"
