Jackson racing supercharger for 2nd gen
Now, in the faq, it says that the jackson racing supercharger wont fit on the proteges because of clearance issues dispite the miatas 1.8L engine being pretty much identical to the protege 1.8L engine
what part of the engine is exactly causing the clearance issue?/
cause i dont have any options like air conditioning in my car, so i mean if the are conditionig condener of the powersteering pump is in the way, i have no problem because i dont have ac andi will get rid of my powersteering in a flash to have a supercharger
if anyone knows, please help
thanks

because of how the engine is placed in the two cars. in the miata, the JRSC intake pipe goes around the front end of the engine where all the belts are, since the car is rear wheel drive. the protege is front wheel drive, so the engine sits side to side, not front to back like in the miata. if you tried to install the JRSC into your protege, the intake pipe would interfere with the shock tower. and even if you got it to fit over there, it would connect to your intake manifold because it faces the other way.
