I was wondering what do you guys do when drive to the airport to leave or pick up somebody. Today I almost had problems with the cops because I stopped the car in the airport to pick up a friend. AS soos as I drove through the inspection (trunk) the guy let me drive to the terminal and as soon as I parked there a cop came behind me. He made several questions about the nitrous and bla, bla... I finally responded him saying :" ... If you had a car like mine instead of your fast cop car, you would know better why I have nitrous for..." and I left...

Anyrate, should I take the bottle out every time I drive to the airport ????? have you guiys experienced something like that before? That pissed me off. Cop viado traveco.

 

I would think so. B/c now a days with those terroists running around every one is scared. a nitrous bottle COULD be used part of a bomb you know. get like 15 people drive in a various times of the day with nitrous bottles and put them together and make a bomb. You get it? Just say thank god those people spotted that b/c it shows you they are doing there jobs. if it was an arabic guy driving in with a nitrous bottle, he would have been arrested on the spot and thrown in jail with out bail and stuff.
It's just the cops FINALLY doing their job.

but i mean like inside the terminal. like inside not under it. well at leat in NYC and NJ they have block off all parking around and under the terminal

 

they inspect your cars out there? they don't do that **** here. you drive up, park in a lot, and go inside. they don't do security for people waiting to pick other's up. just the people who are actually getting on the plane. i have yet to be bothered by anyone about my nitrous. ;D

 

Actually a nearly empty tank is more dangerous than a full tank since it's full of fumes and is more likely to explode.

Anyway, what's the big deal if he asks you some questions? It's not like he confiscated the bottle or anything. The cop is just doing his job. Better safe than sorry.

I hate to live my life with people looking around to see what I am doing or what I am going to do. Sorry, but for me this is not life this is manipulation of your life IMO.

I brought the question to see if you guys have the same problem at airports. My point of view about this security thing is clear and wont change, but I dont want to bring it up here since there is no room for this kind of discussion here I guess.

Nope, I dont think people like me are the problem since I came from a totally neutral country and thanks God I am finishing my studies here and coming back there. You should try in your life live for while in other country to feel how life is without fear and with real FREEDOM. If you want to you can spend a couple days there with my family.
