The injectors are 295cc units from a Toyota (bought used but in good shape). The Rotrex supercharger kit including oil cooler radiator, electric steering pump (used from Citroen Saxo), FMII unit and GMC signal conditioner I got from a friend of mine in the UK named Richard at GMS motorsports... he is a real nice guy and very trustworthy and dependable. These items are non-existent in US. The S/C kit was 1200 and the steering pump, 150 UK pounds. Visit his website at GMCmotorsport.co.uk. Very nice people, also can give good tech advice. The parts were brought to me by a friend coming over from England.
My 0-60 time at the strip was 7.5 seconds! Pretty good I should say for a wimpy 1.6!

Yep, SP-30 with a 74mm flywheel. It is easy to change flywheel sizes and increase boost as needed. Be sure to get one size smaller and one size larger flywheel, to get the correct boost pressure. The SP-30 can flow all the boost you need for even 2 liter engines, no problem.
You can calculate the flywheel size by the formula: crank flywheel diameter times redline rpm should not exceed 128,000 rpms (max rpm for the S/C). Anyway, I already did and you can use the 65mm flywheel and that will give you less than 128,000, so no problem.
Mac, about the signal conditioner - you need it because the protege's ECU is programmed to respond to VACUUM in the manifold, not BOOST, so the ECU will go nuts trying to figure out the readings and you will not be able to even idle, let alone drive the car... what the signal conditioner does is FOOL the computer into thinking it is sensing vacuum rather than the actual boost (positive pressure)... it has nothing to do with the injectors...
Next steps in the project: install the Quaife LSD and find the ECU pinout map...

So what is running your extra injectors??...I like the signal conditioner Idea...most guys with turbo 1.6L's have just used check valves to bleed the boost away from the sensor..your way seems more reliable...

I have already explained that Erl's fuel management unit (called FM-II) which is installed inside the car beneath the ash tray is driving the two injectors. This is a neat unit with 8 fully adjustable pods for adjusting the amount of fuel injection at each 1000 rpm up to 8000. I am using the A/F meter to tell me when I am at the correct mixture, neither too lean or too rich... works really well. See the pics below.

Very good!!...I am very intrigued by this....Wonder how accurate the A/F is..Is it a wideband?? Have you thought about using an egt?? Have you tried measuring intake charge temps??...I am thinking about possibly doing it myself...Not necessarily exactly like yours, don't quite have your kind of income.. But i'd like to make one pretty darn close...Hope you don't mind a copycat!

About the AF meter I have chosen, I went for the Alpha meter made in UK. This is a very accurate meter and no cheap imitation, cost nearly 200 dollars. It is very precise and quick and always on-line. I am quite happy with it.
As for intake charge temps, that is a very key question. If you have noticed in the pics, there is a big charge cooler box where the battery used to be. That neat aluminum container contains water which is circulated by a water pump and cooled in the additional radiator mounted infront of the A/C radiator. The compressed air travels through the cool water and dramatically is cooled down. Without the charge cooler, I measured air temp at up to 80 degrees C, but with the cooler, it steadies at about 50 degrees! A whopping difference, and it is VERY noticeable and definitely recommended.

Newest additions to the supercharged 1.6: Quaife LSD (what a difference!), aluminum bezel plate for the dash, slotted and drilled disc rotors (not much difference!)... more to come.
