? for those running nitrous...
I was just surfing some other boards, and came across a thread that has me wondering. Where do you have your nozzle mounted on the intake pipe? After reading the thread, i'm wondering if mine is too close to the TB. You've all seen the Injen CAI, mine is located in the last bend, less than 6" away from the TB, and this thread a few people say it should be between 6-18" away. If I am too close, what can I do to plug the hole I made already? Thanks for any info.

HOWEVER....if you decide you are going to move it.......here is the answer to your actual question...
the tube is aluminum....have it welded up!
OR you could get some sort of little rubber plug that would fit I am sure...just would wonder what it would do to the air flow the a BUMP sticking out into the air flow.

NOS says 6-12 inches fromt eh TB. If you place it too close to your TB the N2O wil not atomize correctly and you will lean out your #4 cylinder and BOOM!!! Look at LinuxRacers pics of his blown engine his #4 was first to go but he did have it hooked up wrong.

Mike, why do you want to move it? Are you having problems with the system? I'd recommend pulling the spark plugs and inspecting them every so often until you are comfortable that the system isn't causing any uneven burn conditions between the cylinders. It's a quick and easy way to get some indication of what's happening in the combustion chambers.

Eric, i've pulled the plugs a few times so far... and haven't seen anything bad going on *yet*. I was just reading on another forum about the placement of the nozzle, and it worried me a little and I wanted to research into it a bit. How can I tell if there are "uneven burn conditions"? All the plugs look good to me, aside from them showing that i'm running a little rich. Any tips on reading the plugs a bit better to see what my engine is thinkin in there?

It's too hard to describe all the different things to look for here. I suggest you get a Haynes service manual or something similar. If I remember correctly, they have a page full of pictures of sparkplugs showing most of the different conditions possible. Also, it sounds like you are in the range given for the distance between the N2O jet and throttle body, even if you are at the short end of it. Why make another hole in your intake until you know you need to, is what I was thinking?

1fatEs , the same company that put out the steering column gauge pod is also producing an inexpensive (not to be confused with cheap ) turbo kit with many upgrade options. Price is expected to be less than $2500 and puts out 6psi of boost, non-intercooled. The prototype model (shown there on my car) is a Garret T3/T4 hybrid, not sure if that's what they'll end up selling with the kit, we'll do some more R&D on it once it's finished.
Here's the link to some pics of the progress on the turbo install. Turbo Pics.
