This article is for Saturns but the same applies for our car. Enjoy the reading.Tricks, Do's and Don't's of Turbocharging the Saturn

AHHHH but we do have to do the check valve trick!!! Me and Spoolin both had to add check valves as we were getting a CEL because of the boost. Look on the vacuum routing on the hood of the 3rd gen and in the top left hand corner of our engine bays you will find our wonderful boost sensor that also takes manifold presure measurements

Its just a MAP sensor damn mazda putting both a MAP and MAF on our cars to cross reference the 2 readings in the ECU. I know that it is the same boost sensor though that they used in teh 3rd gen RX-7 I crossed the part # with my buddys rex and I thought that was kinda of surprising.

Thanks in advance,

MAP is the a sensor that read the amount of pressure + or - in the intake manifold and the MAF is sensor the read the amount of air flow coming in to though the intake. The ECU use these two to meter the amount of air coming into the motor so it knows how much fuel and spark to give to get efficient combustion. Mostly in my opinion an emissions compliance thing. For the experts out there feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
FYI By the way I correctly placed check valves before the MAP sensor and fouled the ECU in not seeing the boost I'm producing from the turbo and got rid of my Fuel Cut problems, YAAHOO!
