Turbo Kits For Sale

Hello fellow members. I am putting the finishing touches to a new turbo kit for the MP3 and P5 cars and was trying to gauge interest in such a kit. The kit will include the following:

T-28 Ball Bearing turbo
Bar and Plate Front Mount Intercooler
Cast Manifol
Reprogrammed ECU
Downpipe
Blowoff Valve
Lines and Fititings
Cold Airbox

The kit will have a few upgrades available such as 300CC injectors with higher boost levels and different ECU tuning, as well as polished intercooler piping. Also a full exhaust sytem will be offered as well as a Carbon Fibre cold air box. I am expecting the kit to be completed next month and I am trying to gauge your interest in actually buying this product. The stock kit will have 5 PSI and produce approx 175 horsepower. I am trying to keep the kit below $3700 and have you guys actually purchase them The extras will be availble in a second kit for approx $4500 minus the exhaust system. That kit will produce over 200 horsepower and will require a clutch upgrade which we will also be selling. I will have dyno numbers and pictures of this kit next month. Please let me know who would be interested in purchasing this kit as I need to make them in batches of 10 to be worth our time and investment. Thanks for your time guys.

So this kit wouldn't work in the 2.0 L sedans then? I didn't think there was that much difference

My apoligies for posting in both forums. I felt that the topic should be in both factory forced and the regular P5/MP3 forum? This kit will also work on the regular 2.0 liter versions of the Protege.

If you check the forums, you'll find there is a great deal of interest in a turbo kit. As long as it's well put together, good quality components and competitively priced, it will sell. I just bought a blower and am going the supercharged route but I wouldn't mind a turbo kit either. I'm going to custom build my own system and see how I like it.

There are large numbers of people that frequent this website that would be VERY interested in your kit. Just post the pics and post the dyno numbers and don't lie about anything! If someone gets your kit and it's not what you said, word gets around fast.

I was wondering if M2 was going to jump on the boat. Their RX7 and WRX stuff featured in many magazines is top notch. I would be very interested in the kit. Are you guys designing a manifold or using the turbonetics manifold that is already available?

I will see if it is possible to mate the turbo kit up to an automatic as well. This kit is being made from the ground up, and is not using a Turbonetics manifold. Keep the replies coming guys.

I would be interested in the turbo...
My question is what is needed to run higher boost levels and how much (safe) boost can the engine handle in stock trim. What is the max boost your turbo will handle and what RPM would you guess it will spool at. I would also be interested in an exhaust system as well. Will this be a cat-back system? From my understanding the most restricted point in the exhaust is right in front of the first cat and in between the first and second cat. Will you be addressing this with the exhaust system. Also will your kit be able to mate with a timer and boost controller?

Thanks for the info
Nick

The boost level will be very conservative on this kit. no more than 9PSI max I beleive. The motor will require bigger injectors and also a reprogrammed ECU which will come with the kit to handle the boost. The T-28 turbo is good for approx 17PSI and can flow enough for around 350 horsepower. This is the stock turbo that comes on the sweet Japanese spec Nissan Silvia's that make 250 horsepower in stock trim from a 2.0 liter SRDET motor. More than sufficient for our 210 horsepower kit. The turbo kit will come with a downpipe which will eliminate the first cat and we will more than likely keep the secondary cat to maintain smog legality. We are also working on a full turboback and catback exhasut system for the car. I hope that answers your questions.

Brett,
Kudos for making a turbo kit. My question. I already have the turbo kit I made on my car....using a modified Starion bar and plate intercooler, custom manifold, and a T28 turbo as well. I am using an FMU for fuel at this time but I would be very very interested in buying the injectors and ECU from your kit so that I coudl eliminate the FMU and usee the stock boost sensor. Let me know if you would sell just your fuel system for this kit.
Thanks,
Craig

Hello Craig,
it should not be a problem selling the fuel system and chip as this will be availble separately anyway in upgrading to the higher performance kit. Take care.

Brett, I am interested in turbo kit and saving for it.
I doubt I will be able to buy anything until next summer(tuition, mortgage etc), but I am very interested in reliable intercooled kit.
Right now I plan on getting Tri-Point turbo, but I will be considering all options-even looks, so post some pics when you have first kit ready.
Thanks
Alex

Hey Brett, I would be very intested in your kit also. More info and pics will definately be helpful, and I'm sure your working around the clock putting it together. Glad to hear more are putting aftermarket parts together for our rides.
