Hey man, just wanted to let you/everyone know I'm getting deep into the RX7 now.

The EFI is getting yanked as is the engine. I'm sending the car off to the body shop to get prepped and painted and the engine will be getting a full refresh and carb system swap. Should make a good bit more than the 170whp I was shooting for. Most people get 200-220whp with an NA carb system. Just wanted to get you up to date on your former junker.

 

More progress today.

Got the intake manifold system pulled, most of the electronics, the rats nest of vaccuum lines.

Tomorrow I'll pull the ecu and engine harness and exhaust, tuesday I'll get the actual shortblock out of the car.

wednesday I'm going to finish up the SC kit piping and final bracket design. Once it goes back to the shop I'll send the FC off to paint and body and start pieceing it back together as parts come in.

 

wrote a check for $2500 to the body shop for the paint and body work on the car....it'll take 2-4 weeks and they're starting on monday.

shaved antenae
molded tailights
molded bumpers
dents/dings removed
glass tinted bronze
painted inside and outside (full color change, door jambs, under hood, under car etc)
black trim around car repaired and painted satin black
Mazda OEM Laser Blue paint with black trim

I've got before pics....you can bet your sweet asses I'll have a ton of "afters".

 

car is shaved/molded and primered...I'm going by the shop today to get some pics before the new paint goes on.

42A, Laser blue mica (03.5 MSP flake blue). Should look nice when it's done.
