I wish Mazda would release that kit. They're selling the MP3 parts now, so how about that kit. The only problem was it needed to be modified to fit the rear door. It must have been designed for a two door originally. http://www.racesearch.com/ballistic_bodykit.html

No, it was designed for a four door. However the 3rd Gen Pro's rear fender molds into the door. That's what they had to modify.

6 speed tranny

I dont know why everybody is drooling over a 6-speed tranny, yeah its nice.. but in most of the reviews Ive read for the RSX say that the 6 isnt needed... I tend to agree, expesically with a 4 banger. I mean think about it... your not pushing THAT much hp espically in the top end, where you would actually need that extra gear. anyway, those are my 2 cents

Having a 6 speed with the proper ratios allows you to stay right in a narrow powerband, like most 4 cylinder engines have. This is NOT the case with the FS motors, since they have large midrange power, and little peak.

Also, the Toyota 6 speed is weak. There are already problems. Same thing with the new RSX 6 speed. You cant make it smaller and lighter and have it handle more power....doesnt work like that.
yeah, check newcelica.org and see how many of those guys are on their 2nd and 3rd tranny under warrantee. Weak.

Lightbulb I'd rather have the horsepower...

I would rather have the factory turbo boost horsepower. You can always change gearing around to make more torque, but you can't do that to make up for horsepower.

Either way, a turbo Protege would be very nice.

If it was designed for our four door body type, why the need for modification?
