I agree to you comment about the interior.

Infact, everything Mazda is doing gave me an impression that they are trying to go towards the BMW car making direction. Especially when you look at how Mazda naming their new cars.

And then they have the Mazdaspeed version that put an M ahead of those names just like the M3, M5 of BMW.

Also, as we all know, almost none of BMW's car is non-sporty type cars. All BMW's cars are sporty cars to certain extent. And Mazda's "Zoom-Zoom" campaign seems also making all their cars into that same sporty direction.

 

well kind of Mazda has always had the numbers for the name of their cars 121, 323, 626, 929. Then there are the sports cars MX-3, MX-5, RX-3, RX-7, RX-8.
