Unhappy Protege being replaced by Mazda3 in '04-'05

I was surfing the net and saw this. The mazda protege will be replaced with the mazda3 in 2004/5. There will be no more protege.

Kinda old news actually... check out the General Mazda / News section.

How are you gonna get that KL-ZE in there? I thought you 2nd/3rd gens couldn't do it because of "cab-forward" design.

Actually...

The Mazda3 will debut very soon and should be out at dealers in September. This is form some inside sources and it makes sense with Mazda's 4 yead turnover cycle.

P.S. - Hey Chastan, if you see a 2000 Silver LX with a spoiler in Santa Barbara thats me!

Actually, I'm leaving all that thinking to my friend. I've seen it before somewhere on the internet and he says if anyone can do, he can. So, he's doing all the work for me. He's confident it can fit though.

you have a 3rd gen not a 2nd gen your engine bay might fit the kl-ze.
