call it a hunch, but the reviewer liked the R32 more, but didn't want to admit it. in all honesty VW's dont impress me in general but if i had to get one, i'd have to be the GTI or R32

i agree. the new golfs and stuff are nice, but they are, to me, a "design-y" car and really cliche. i see them a bunch at art center and i think i could get so much more car somewhere else.
real german engineering...real german pricing too...sheez, 9 grand? with 400 more lbs and that much money more, i would think it would feel more expensive. i liked it when they brought out the tuned gti. so where's the tuned speed3?
understand, i'm not hating on german cars here, ha, just this one/the tester's quietly biased (seeming) opinion. the speed3 could use awd to put all the power down optimally. and the r32 did sound really nice. so, 3 can has speed6 drivetrain plz?
