Unhappy Very importent, Bad News on are cars.

Corp. Mazda spoke to all Mazda Dealers yesterday. I very shocked about the News on our beloved Protege's. All Proteges and the Protege5 will not be made after 2003. I think it's a big mistake. The new car that is taking are place in 2004 is called the Mazda3. It will look like the Rx8 and Mazda6 together. I will also have a ton more horses then the Protege and Pr5. I know the base model will have around 160hp and there will be a faster one right behind it. I also heard that Mazda is making a lot more MazdaSpeed cars and a Suv. Mazda is moving towards the fast lane and beating other to the chease. This is where we end and another begins.

Well, Mazda is trying to recapture their brand image by naming their cars numbers instead of letters. That way you don't say you have a "6", you say "I have a Mazda6". I'm sure there will be a replacement for the Protege5 hatchback since it's done so well for the Protege's image in North America.

What year is it? This news has been out for a few years now. This seems like progress to me, good for Mazda.

No, but the ignorance between "are" and "our" as well as "your" and "you're" on this board is astounding...so when I'm moving something into a more appropriate section, I also fix things like bad grammar at the same time.

Happy!!!???
Well that is mighty nice of you...really. And you feel the need to point it out the the original posters why in the thread? If you are trying to help improve their grammar wouldn't a PM be a better way, or are you purposely trying to embarrass them in public?

And to answer your question!!!??? yes I am usually quite happy.

Jay

-I probably should have taken this to PM...since this will probably be deleted anyway.

Hey, I not the world's best grammar queen and sorry for getting everyone's panties in a bunch. All I wanted was to see your opinions about my topic.

I don't see this as being a bad thing.

I'm not sure what makes you unhappy. Is it the fact that it will be the end of the line for the current model/generation? It is going to happen sooner or later, let's just hope that it is an improvement.

Well, am shocked more then upset. They are making the Pr5 for just two years!? That's crazy, all the time and work they put into it. I just think it's too soon. That's my to cents. But the sunny side of things are that a new car is coming and it's faster with a new body. I hope the best for Mazda and I will away love them no matter what!

Sounds like hes saying every version, 323, protege and familia will be renamed Mazda3.

It actuaky makes sense for mazda to generate the P5 like they have knowing they would redesign shortly. It pure product research and has been extreamly profitable at that. They also manged to generate an aftermarket for the protege and built a better reputation as a serious compeditor they are in a position to one of the 10 best this year by car and driver with it win over the focus this month.

Well, the Pro5 has been out since 1999 in other markets such as Japan and Europe. Only the US was the one to recieve it last, hence the short life cycle. I'm pretty sure that the next "Mazda3" hatchback will be just as fun if not better.
