turbo 4 cyl with AWD. Do you think it will have restrictions on parts availability as the Mazda Speed Pro? Also, will the MS6 wear the current aftermarket body kit offered by Mazda Speed for the 2003 6.

There is a few threads around with pics and such. Also www.mazda6club.com will give you lots of info on the 6.

just do yourself a favor....no matter what you hear...no matter who tells you, even mazda, don't go getting your hopes up...or holding your breath about a "release date"...

believe it when you see them in a dealers showroom.....

damn the voices of reason! my hopes are ALREADY up. LOL

I read something about summer 2004 on the ever reliable internet. I was just taking a shot to see if the mazda "insiders" here could drop some hints.

Check out the link in this post by NegatiZE. Supposedly, this guy talked to a Mazda rep at an auto show and told him it's tentatively scheduled for fall 2004.

BTW, it's Mazdaspeed. One word, not two.

It wouldn't make sense for the hatch and then wagon to come out... I don't see the marketing advantage of that?

But yeah I've heard that the wagon / hatch is due sometime this year. I'd like a hatchback,, I use to love my datsun 510

There was no response as to timing on the MS 6.

There you have it...all that I know.
Thank you good sir. To further stir the pot, I wonder if the Canadian and US release dates will be the same for each 6 variant.

I'd like to see the wagon come out this Fall and beat Honda to the punch (Honda already got the jump on the "sporty" market with the new accord coupe). The competition would be the overpriced Passat wagon. I don't believe there is an Nissan Altima wagon in the works.

The claimed performance of the MS6 should be making future Protege and Foci owners/tuners drool. Is the 2.3L engine in the 6 a transverse layout?

It looked like one to me when I looked under the hood Though it looked a little cramped, but that may have been because of all those stupid plastic covers.

The accord coupe may be the first car that I think has looked nice from honda.
