Anyone interested in getting a Houston area meet together? Bear Creek park or somewhere like that? I don't know where everyone lives. We live up on 290 inside the beltway. Wasn't thinking anything serious just getting together, talking proteges, and showing off our cars.

 

well how soon are you talking im moving at the end of the month.. so im gonna be a little busy but i would like to try to go...

 

I dunno. I'm busy next weekend but after that I'm free and clear for awhile. I don't really care as long as it isn't in the middle of the frickin hotass days that we have here. I'd rather it be morning or evening.

 

I'd be up for it, depending on when it is, though I'm a lot more flexible in the summer. Either Memorial Day weekend (but not that Monday) or the next weekend would probably work for me.

YEP I be listening....lol and I am up for it as well....it would just depend on when we want to do this....

things here are pretty busy....but that is always how it is with me...I just have to MAKE time! lol....would rather do something during the day...as I am anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours out....and I don't want to drive in.....then be there late and have to drive back late at night.....thats all.

and you should KNOW what a mess the bugs make out of our cars at night.....seems all the critters come out after the sun goes down! lol

 

OK, kc5zom, this was your idea--propose a date, time, and place!

 

Kinda wanted to hear where everyone lived so we could pick a central place for everyone. Since Sir Nuke has to drive the farthest maybe he would tell us what direction he has to drive to get into Houston? I'd like to do it in June on the 8th or the 22nd. Morning preferably around 10+ (so I can sleep in dammit!). But if you guys are the only guys interested it might be slim pickins.

Well, June 8th is out for me--I'll be in San Diego for a wedding.

SirNuke is coming from south of Houston if I'm not mistaken, as am I (though he's coming from further away than me).

 

I'm not really familiar with that area except for Galveston. Any suggestions?

 

Galveston is actually a pretty decent idea.

 

I am not sure if there is anything going on, on EITHER of those dates...usually don't plan stuff that far ahead! lol

I live SOUTHWEST of houston....go out 59 South about 40 miles...then take a left and head towards the coast another 30 miles....there I am ..... so....if you want to meet IN houston...I would say somewhere on the southwest side of town...I just don't know where.....if you want to do galveston....that is about the same distance....so I have no real preference....but wouldn't know WHERE to meet there either.

 

I don't mind Galveston either. But is anyone other than us going to go?

 

I might show for galveston...(the wife wants to take our son to galveston...Talk about killing 2 birds with one stone)

 

Okay. Thats four. I guess we could meet at Moody Gardens. Thats the only place I can think of with a big parking lot. Wondering, though, when the next import or tuner show is happening here in Houston? That might be a better idea for a meet. I'll try and find out but if anyone knows of one off the top of their head.
