I for one don't understand how people are getting 16 sec 1/4s at only 80 mph. You must have insane 60 foot times. My old 5-speed '98 Accord 4-cyl would go 80-82mph in the quarter, with a 17.3 e.t.
With a 16 flat, you should be at 85-88mph, unless you started the 1/4 being rear-ended by a semi. Or you got a 1.5 sec 60 foot time.
Maybe the 1/4 is a little short.

maybe this had somehting to do with it? the ratios are made fr 60 mph and th4en after that whatever...?

Unless you stop accelerating before the end, a 16.0 should be closer to 88 mph. Unless the car got an incredible start, like a 2.1-2.2 sec 60 foot time, which would be truly impressive with street tires. As an example of this, have you ever seen drag race results and see those weird 10 sec @ 60 mph times? This is where the car breaks right after launching and coasts to the end. Great launch that carries the car to the end quickly, but with no top end.
