What kind of wheels are those? I don't recognize them as any stock 4-lug Mazda wheel. If so, this may be the reason they're rubbing- they're probably wider than the stock Mazda 15x6 wheels, and the additional width probably spreads the tires out more.

Ya those rims are some ASA 15x7s. Can you get 225s on 6" wide rims? I watched them squash the 225s onto the 7s and it was tight!

yeah, for SCCA's H-stock class, you MUST use the stock width wheels, and yes, you can get 225s onto them.

Heck, the old G-stock CRXs put 225s on a 5" wheel.
Holy crap! 225s on 5s!!! Thats hardcore. Luckily up here wheels & tires are a free mod!
So do you guys run thinner tires on the back? 205s?
