I did autocross P5. I liked the fel of the car. I did not push it-I had it only for 2 weeks, so I got beaten by Chrysler K-car wagon.
I would say that moderate drop, bigger rear sway bar, more agressive alignment and good rubber will make it competitive and compensate for the lack of power.

I autocrossed last month here in Jax

Jacksonville had an auto-X last month...it was my first. 3 type R's beat me by just a hair (1.5 sec). The handling is great, but I need more power. I think when I get an adjustable suspension system w/ springs I'll be abel to slay the type-R's.

What class were you in? I don't think you should be in the same as the R type.

The class that I was in.

I forget the name of the class but it is just above stock class, due to my CAI.

I almost beat the type-r's because like the guy said...it's all about the driving...I didn't get over 2nd gear...tight little course, but fun!

I never get over 2nd gear. I think they make them tight to hold done the speeds. You might have been in FSP.

auto crossing

I've been autocrossing all summer long in my 2000 se protege. It was a complete blast. The car was awesome.
