it would ba as a spectator only i'm afraid, i'm still running bald *** tires i don't have the cash to get the tires by tomorrow .... But the event is so close, i want to go and check it out and hopefully meet up with David or Will and get a feel for the atmosphere and how things operate.
there is another event Oct. 27/28th at Buttonwillow that i plan to compete in. It's a much further drive, but i'll have some fresh rubber for it
I would think SCCA has rules against non-conventianal "slicks"...hehehe
As usual, one more f***ing thing that stops me from racing legally...

Well it's true what you say and now you have time to tires.
I did race on sunday I only got two runs in because I had to go to wine tasting thing. The rest of them got six runs.
But I got the win The FInger and by almost nine seconds
One more race and then it's time to get the skis waxed and find money for next years tires. did you see that tire rack raised the price on the kumhos.

Hey, send along the sway bar pics too and a quick how-to. Not like it's hard or anything, but hey, not everybody knows how and it would be a nice addition to the How-To section on my site
.........Send them to Wil........PFFFT!!!

Well, you missed some good racing on Sunday. Will and I sort of designed the course (it got tweaked by the event master, who doesn't like simple, straight, non-tire ruining finishes).
I finished in first, with Will in 2nd. I think the class was about a dozen cars. I've been told that Will and I are chasing all the wannabes (losers in Hondas) out of STS. Since we are down to 10-12 cars from a high of 40 earlier this year, that may be true.
If you do make it up for the Buttonwillow event, look for us. We'll be around two blue easy-ups, probably near the front.
If you miss that event, the next one is November 17-18 at Hollywood Park.
BTW, the way to keep the GF happy is to get her to race your car. Of course, then you have to buy rubber twice as often.
