Hallett Lapping 11/2/05

Well, the Nanner made it through her sessions (3 @ 15 mins each) and I must say...WHAT A BLAST! I had not had her out in a while...heck, I haven't even had the Miata out in a while. I shared my day with my Prelude buddy so we each got 1/2 day, mine being counter-clockwise and he got clock-wise.

We changed the oil to Lucas Synthetic thanks to the great people of the Tuner Fest (freebies!!) and made sure that it was "slightly" overfilled. I didn't want to contend with the oil starvation issues which I think killed engine #1. Put the 17s w/ the Toyo T1-S tires on, cranked up the Muzak and I was good to go The seats were slippery as all heck...really, not the best situation for high speed touring. I kept a beach towel on my seat but I still slid around. Time for a harness I guess.

Hopefully the photographers will get their pics up so I can show you that girls drive too!! Actually, I thought I was going to be the only female for the day, but my friends Steve & Michelle showed up in their new STi and whooped up on me. They were the previous owners of the ultra-sweet //M Roadster. I miss that car.

There was a Cadillac CTS-V, a Ferrari Challenge Stradale, a formula Mazda open wheel, some Vettes, some RX-7s of various years, and others...it was our private "OK-Speed" day. 4 groups of 5 cars each makes for decent lap times.

Oh, and I lapped a MIATA. Go me!!!! Heh.
