Mazda 2,4,5,9 at Virginia
Mazda drivers finished 2, 4, 5, and 9 at the last Speed WC race of the year at Virginia International Raceway.
Pierre Kleinubing took the win after rolling the car three times during the top ten shootout qualifying the day before. He was in a battered and bruised car, but able to take the win after several leaders had problems.
Jeff Altenburf finished in 2nd place with Charles Espenlaub in 4th, Shauna Marinus in 5th and Roger Foo finishing 9th.
Full story can be found here.
Couple shots from Saturday, I will paste some race shots tomorrow when I get home and off this slow wireless connection.

Thanks Jimmy! Excellent race report, to bad that Chuck Hemmingson didn't finsih so well after his stellar qualifing (2nd). I see where Mazda finished the Manufactures Points in 3rd place, just 4 points below BMW and Honda!
We'll get them next year! Awesome photos of Foo's Pro5 and the rest of the Protege campaigners.
See ya @ the track, Speedbump.

New pics for my desktop. Sweet. I'm just starting to get hooked on these touring races. It almost addictive now. Man I've been missing a lot of action. I'm just starting to learn the names of the drivers and TRYING to remember them. Next time there's a race in the area I'm going.

Well they will be coming to DC with the ALMS guys at the end of June next year and should be at VIR in April. They will also be at Lime Rock Park at the end of May which is about 6 hours from DC.
Pick one or all three, you will not be disappointed.

Speed World Challenge Races
If any of the Local Protege Groups want to come out to the events we would be happy to show them around the car(s) and answer any questions. We did this with the Toronto Protege Owners Group in May and their decal is still on the #88 Car's rear window......
Jim from Protomotive #88 and #96
I hope to see the Orlando club at Sebring in March, and maybe Foxy can be our flag girl!
