just want to clarify, Bonaccorsi's Protege race car is NOT the turbocharged Mazdaspeed Protege that is coming up soon. It is a based on a STOCK Protege ES, and prepared by Mazdaspeed Motorsports.

The car is actually prepared by Tri-Point Motorsports and only USES Mazdaspeed parts. It is not actually prepared by Mazdaspeed.

Most of the Mazda teams have had help from Mazda and Mazdaspeed while running their own teams. Check some other threads in this forum to see how the teams have done in some of the last few races and some photos.

 

The article up there says it is based on the MP3, not an ES.

 

the MP3 IS based on the ES... therefore the Tri-point Touring Protege is ES-based
