15.3 seems kinda slow for a BPT GTX... i would have expected mid/high 14s...oh wait you have AWD, that would account for some drivetrain power loss.

just that i have seen some BP cars hit low/mid 15s (which i where i think i am) with moderate mods...cams would open that baby right up

Actually AWD cars are quicker in 1/4 mile times because they have virtually no tire spin. But if you race on from a roll the FWD or RWD will probably win assuming same HP and Weight

AWD is usually better for handling than drag racing. It's more difficult to launch most AWD drive cars than 2wd. No doubt about it's advantage here in the snow though.

also the 4wd is harder to judge bog down .... its a finer line with a 4wd than in a 2wd

Dyno Times

So far prior to dyno tuning I managed a 14.5 on street tires. I believe darryl was with me when I ran a 14.6 at LACR. This at 4000+ elevation.

After tuning the car runs much stronger, so hopefully I'll be a lower 14 or a high 13 now.

Ya, wasn't that the second run against the Eclipse GST spider. With a jerry rigged boost controller, that was damn good

I had a black 1997 Legacy 2.5GT Limited. The only problems with it were the auto trans (wife's idea) and leather interior. I live in Chicago, so the leather was cold in the winter and hot in the summer. It looked good though. I missed driving a stick shift too much, so I traded it for the Protege.

What kind of Subaru did you have Eric? Ive always been a fan, ever since my parents bought a new 1985 then new Subaru Loyal Station Wagon back when i was a kid. It was a really nice car, and lasted a long time. The only downfall was the 88hp motor, pushing around 2800lbs of car. This thing had to have a running start to go up a hill
