SCCA races that was on speedvision tonight
Man it was some exciting racing ,, I tuned in at 8:00 and saw all the protege's including Roger Foo's protege 5 (tight) .
anyhow there was a white pro with yellow streaks ( I know the car but forgot) the driver name was Espenlaub #96 .. man this guy was working his *** off , .. He was keeping up with the comptech integras and was in 4th and 5th place and doing really frigin good , until the damn , frigin ,, shity *** civic , hit him in the back and knocked him off the track , by time he got back on he lost like 6 spots.....
Well after Espenlaub got shot down , there was another pro that stepped up to represent and man did he do a good frigin job ,.. t was a Silver Protege #19 driven by Chuck Hemingson , man I must say this guy did an awesome job of frigin fighting to get that protege up the ranks .... he was holding down 4th and 5th place and was doing pretty damn good ... but after a while he kinda fell back ,, I think cause there was a bimmer that was on his back so while trying to defend his spot he fell off pace with the leaders...
At any rate it was a very good race guys and these two guys really repped the protege crowd to the fullest ,, I was chearing them on the whole way man ,, it was like I had a frigin party in my house ,.. hahaha

It was a great race even if our cars (Espenalub #96 and Foo#88) did not finish as well as we would of liked.
Espenalub was exactly where he wanted to be when he got taken out by Harvey. Charles does a great job of conserving tires for a late race charge so he started conservatively.
After talking with Charles the day before the coverage he feels he should have been more agressive( which he usuallyis) in the beginning to get away from all the banging.
We both felt he could of lead the first lap if he pushed the situation, but he was trying to be smart. Oh well, we are looking forward to Mosport in May, we feel like we can win a race real soon.
Foo's car progressed all weekend. We did not get a chance to test the car until we got to the track and we made great progress and he was running just outside the top 10 until the last lap we had a master cylinder problem, which in turn caused an off course excursion that broke the steering
We are improving both cars for the next race and we know we will give the protege a win soon
Thanks for noticing and rooting for us
The other proteges are CHUCK HEMMINGSON- #19 The Tripoint team of #4 Shauna Marinus, #40 Paul Bonacorsi, #14 Scott Bradley and the OPM motorsports team #70 of Robert Baxter
