2008 Mazda3 differences?

Thanks for your reply.
Do you know what changes were made?
My wife had a early 2008 '3' as a rental car while her Toyota was at the body shop. Comparing it to my new '3' I had the distinct impression that mine is more quiet and the engine had a nicer sound and seemed smoother. At first I thought I was imagining this but I noticed this everytime I drove one car right after the other.

I'll find the info and send it to you.
You may find that the biggest difference is that the rental is a base model and your is a higher trim level. Also were both vehicles 2.0L?
