cabin filter

okay the first bad thing for our mazda 2007 s.

went to get the cabin filter changed.
paid 70 bucks to have it done at the dealer.

they were kind enough to show me where and how to get to the filters.

What a joke! Whoever designed the location of the cabin filter should consider a career change.

The civic and fit takes like five minutes to change.

okay I am done - car has been great otherwise no problems (knock on wood). Just oil and oil filter changes.

Got just shy of 24,000 miles.

Thanks for listening.

You need to change a late Volvo S40 cab filter if you want crazy. Without the correct tools that most pro mechanics have, you have to unplug and remove the gas pedal, and work with little space next to the brake pedal, with your head part way under the dash. Your hands block all light, unless you have a small rechargeable shop light you can put behind the brake or clutch pedal. Then the new one, you have to fold it to insert it.

Where is the cabin air filter?

Where is the cabin air filter on a 2006 Mazda 3 and how do I get at it?
How often should this filter be changed - car has 94,000kM on it.
Thanks
Marty
