Clunk sound when in 2nd gear

Hey all,
I just purchased my 3 late April and I must admit I love it. It's a 2009 manual trans, and I have noticed a clunk sound like right after I shift into 2nd gear. Is this a common sound I don't need to worry about? She only had one owner before me, and there is only 17800 miles. Any information I gain from the forums will be useful, thanks.

there are many people with the #3 (top passenger side) engine mount broken... search the forum for that & see if their symptoms sound familiar.

You've probably sorted this out by now, but for those seeking info on this now:

Yep, my GF has an '09 and had the same thing. They warrantied the mount. Motor mounts are a weak point on these cars on all year models. If you can't get it covered under warranty, replace it with mounts from Corksport or AWR and choose the softer duometer bushings. Harder bushings are best for race setups and put noise and vibration in the car without any advantage for daily driving.
