Dynamic Stability Control sensor
#3
Hi djs2571, and thanks for the reply, I did not realise there were so many sensors covering the DSC, the original fault was the DSC light came on permanently along with the Engine Check light, and the car lost power.
The Dealer said they cleared the problem by changing the"DSC" sensor, I just wanted to know where the sensor was situated, either in the engine bay, or behind the dashboard.
Thanks again

I don't think any single fault with the DSC should cause a loss of power. I know if it senses wheel slippage it will cut engine power... but that should need both wheel speed sensors to read incorrectly - not a single part. And I don't see where the DSC would turn on the check engine light either
I'm wondering if this was a recall sort of issue or a reflash of the DSC or other control module.

Thanks djs2571 for your thoughts and views, unfortunately, I can only go by what the dealer said that they changed the DSC sensor to clear up the problem, but I have given the car a good 25 mile road test and it seems to now be ok, but I would still have liked to actually have seen the faulty part they said they changed, or at least to be able to see the new part they fitted.
Thanks for your interest though.
