easy clutch

Does anyone else think that the Mazda 3's have the easiest clucthes ever. Its not a bad thing, I was just wondering if anyone thought the same thing. Its easy but it certainly does grab, but Mazda's I guess are known for that.
Mazda's rule.

The clutch on a mazda is easy... P.S. It goes all the way on the first date. :-)

Did the car you had before the 3 not have a hydraulic clutch?

I really don't like the clutch, has no feel for the engage point so i'm always getting a jerky start or shift between 1st and 2nd.
My previous manual was an 84 RX7, also a hydraulic clutch, but it had a better spring mechanism to counterbalance the clutch plate pressure... meaning that when you started to push the clutch down it was easy, then got harder as you actually moved the clutch. This I found way easier to drive than the 3's clutch.
I even went so far as to remove the counter spring - I suggest others not do the same, it's pretty difficult to put back in!!! The spring makes almost no difference to the pedal feel and it's really there to keep the pedal all the way "up" when not in use - otherwise it rattles around a bit.
