fog light question

So the lenses on both of my fog lights have been broken for some time now, and my car is coming up for inspection next month. Dealer qouted me $315 for each foglight, and theres no way in hell im paying that much just to see them break again probably.

My question is, is there some type of covers i can get and install in place of the fog lights, just so it will pass inspection?

If anyone knows of anyhting like this and where i can buy them, your help would be greatly appreciated. by the way its an 09 mazda 3

All you need to pass inspection here in NY are headlights, turn signals, running lights, and brake lights. All stock parts pertaining to that need to be operational.
So the fog lamps are an option in any case, they shouldn't bother you for that at all. So any covers etc... shouldn't make any difference. If you think they might complain you can must remove the lights for the inspection.
