Mazda3 2008 Door Lock not working
Hi,
I have a 2008 4 dr Mazda 3 with power door locks. When I use the key fob to try unlocking my car, the front drivers door twitches, but does not fully activate. All of the other doors unlock fine on the next press. Mazda shop wants $300 to repair. I know I can do myself for cheaper.
However the people at auto parts store can't tell me what parts I need for sure and since they are electrical components, they are non returnable.
Just wondering if the front and rear drivers door uses the same parts so I can disassemble both and swap out parts to see where the problem is.
Anyone have a manual that shows what all of the parts look like, or an interior door view?
Anyone know how to tell if it is the relay, or the actuator or maybe a wiring problem? I was even thinking maybe the battery was a little unjuiced so can't open the lock, but others work fine.

Something probably just needs lube, and it should be obvious once you have the door apart & hit the lock / unlock button.
The door panels do come off without much hastle or hidden screws, though the plastic snap in bits like to break - pick some up off ebay after you pull the door off and make sure you are getting the right ones.
