unreadable cooling temps?

My check engine light came on tonight in my 2006 Mazda 3i. The light has never came on before. I took it to Autozone and had them pull the code from the light and they told me that the code read "unreadable cooling temps". I have never heard this before. They told me it could be because the coolant was low. I checked it and it was just a hair below the minimum line. I added some coolant but the light never went off even after I took it out and drove it around for a while. Anyone ever heard of this code? Should I have the code reset? I'm a little stumped on this one. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!

I topped off the antifreeze (even though it was just barely below the full line) and a few days later the light went off.
