Mazda 3s tire sizes
#2
hmm, my all-season tires i have on the stock 17"x7" wheels are BFG Traction T/A's (215/55) and mazda refused to inspect the car, so i had a local wheel/tire shop inspect and they passed it. my summer tires wrapped around Falken Torque 5's, also 17"x7", are Falken Azenis (215/45). I have had no rubbing problems with either tire and they work great with the car. ive got a buddy on CarDomain dot com running on (225/45) tires with no complaints. personally, though, dont think im going wider than 215 ever.

im runnin on 225s with 17inch wheels. And i have no problem with em....it's just if you're planning to get 225s...i wouldn't lower your car too much - it'll rub for sure. That's y im only lowering it to maybe 1 - 1.5 inches.

and also, gsseattle, you should look into Falken Ziex all-season tires as well.
