Exclamation Tpms.

in addition to the stock wheels that have the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system), ive purchased and installed a set of wheels, Falken Torque 5's wrapped in Falken Azenis), which are not TPMS compatible. as a result, the TPMS icon on the instrument panel flashes constantly about every three seconds. obviously, this gets kind of annoying. is there anything i can do to shut off this warning light to keep it from burning out completely, and also from driving me crazy?

TPMS light

Well I can think of four ways to get the light to stop flashing

1. open up your gauge cluster and put a piece of black electrical tape over the TPMS icon on the back of the gauge between the gauge face and the LED. I know it sounds ghetto, but it's cheap and it works. This is the back of the gauge face where you'd put the tape. (right is driver's side)

2. open up your gauge cluster and desolder the LED in the TPMS slot. I don't know if that would cause any CELs or what not as it wants that LED there. Here's the circuit board (left is driver's side)

3. put the stockers with the sensors back on

4. buy new aftermarket wheels that will accept the sensors.
