06 mazda 3 new clutch problems

hey guys

i just bought an act stage 3 clutch came with pilot bearing and bought a oem throwout bearing from mazda paired with a new slave cylinder

brought my car to mechanic he put it in but when i got the car back the pedal feels stiff but the clutch doesnt engage until the very top of the pedal.

very very top making it almost impossible to slip the clutch. its as if its a switch on or off no play at all.

so i was driving it trying my best to slip it cause im still in the break-in period 50 miles ish on it so far. i park my car to get gas turn it off and when i go to crank it back on it wont start.

i then stop at a 711 cut the car off. buy some thing come back. and it cranked over no problem...

so i go home and turn the car off and when i go to turn it on later during the day.. it will not start again.

eventually ended up push starting it( the battery was 100 pct fine i had lights music horn everything no elec issue)

but the real question is why didnt it want to start its obv related to the clutch. and why with this new clutch does it engage all the way at the top of the pedal. shouldnt it begin to engage as soon as i begin to let off from the floor or at least mid stroke through the pedal? the pedal feels very stiff on top and easy past the top 1/4 stroke of the pedal.

I NEED HELP!!!
