2005 Mazda 3s
Hey Guys,
Just bought a new 2005 Mazda 3s in January. I had a 2002 Nissan Sentra Spec-V before. The Mazda doesn't have as much ***** as the sentra did, but out classes it in every other category IMO.
I just installed a TWM Performance short shifter in it and the throw is about 40% shorter than before. The only big impact was the shorter length caused the shift weight to increase to about double. I don't mind this because I love the feeling of muscling through the gears, but if you plan on installing a short shifter in your car, you may want to get a 500mg shift **** to counter-act that shorter length.
I ordered a short ram air intake for the car... never been a fan of the cold air intakes because of the possibilty of water locking and the uselessness of bypass valves. I should get that next week. I take pictures of everything I do, so if anyone's interested, I can post a link to my ftp to show how the install went.
I'm looking at the magna flow cat-back exhaust for my car as the next upgrade, but need to wait a bit for that one because I'm paying for a wedding.
So far I'm VERY impressed with my 3. I've got about 3700 miles on it and it's a champ!!!
