2007 iSport manual transmission cruise control mod

I just performed the cruise control installation to my base-model 2007 Mazda3 iSport. I understand that this topic has been posted-on ad-nausea, but one of the things that held me off from committing the funds for the kit from mazdastuff.com was ensuring that no additional steps were required for cars with a manual transmission.

My initial thought was that if you had to install a cruise-compatible brake-pedal switch, you would also need to install a cruise-compatible clutch-pedal switch. My recollection from my last MT car equipped with cruise control (1994 Cavalier) was that stepping on either the brake or clutch deactivated the cruise control.

I wanted to confirm for my MT-brethern out there that indeed the clutch pedal switch on the base model is already cruise-compatible. Weird, but true.
