2008 Mazda 3S hesitant to start in cooler temps
Hey everyone, I just got a 2008 Mazda 3S Hatchback over 2 months ago. And I love the way it drives. But there is one thing that is bothering me with it. It seems it is hesitant to start when it has been sitting overnight during cooler temperatures. I turn the ignition switch, its starts then shuts off, all the lights stay on, there is no noise indicating the starter (plus I got the starter, alternator and battery checked and they are fine). Then I turn the ignition switch again and sometimes it starts up without an issue but other times I may need to feed it a little gas it starts fine.
For the rest of the day, there is no problems with the car starting. It just happens on initial start up.
I have done some reading and it seems this is a common theme with Mazda. Is there anything I can tell the dealership to look for specifically in this case? I wasn't sure if maybe there is a vacuum leak or maybe something is going on with the fuel filter.
P.S. The check engine light is NOT coming on.
Any advice is appreciated and thank you.
