2008 MazdaSpeed3 Test Drive Review

Well I was the offered the chance to take a new MSP3 for a drive today. all I can I say is , 'I WANT ONE'. Firstly it sounds really good, stereo is nice, dash is well laid out and interior is just perfect. Has a very touchy clutch, its on and off very quickly so takes a bit to get use to. We had turned off the traction control to help eliminate any bad torgue steer, if any. Driving out of first to second and and putting your foot into it really sets you back in your seat. Tires completely let loose until you let your foot out of it but by then you have you've already hit the rev limiter. Car is amazingly fast and very easy to drive but I can see getting into trouble quickly, the car does not feel like its going fast but it is. Winter driving would be a bitch. Even in third gear the tires break loose and the turbo spools very quick, so again winter or wet conditions would take a lighter throttle. The brakes are huge on this car too, it must have at least 11 inch rotors and I'm not sure but the calipers are so big they may be 4 piston.

It's actually the fastest import I have personally driven and getting back into my P5 I was looking for the holes cut in the floorboards where I put my feet out and pedal the car, it felt that slow. So I had an opportunity that not many dealerships would give someone who wasn't actually buying and took full advantage. I'm actually still pumped and that was over 6 hours ago.

Definitely my next car. Zoom zoom HP.

Get one now. I am happy with my 2008 Sunlight Silver MS3 GT! BTW, you might consider keeping the DSC on, it will help with the wheel spin.
